About the Inclusive Minds Program

The Inclusive Minds Program is a flagship initiative of TASK Educational Charitable & Welfare Trust®, designed to address systemic gaps in identifying and supporting children with Intellectual Disabilities (IDs) in mainstream education. Through a collaborative framework involving educators, parents, and school administrators, the program creates inclusive learning environments. As a psychology intern, you will receive hands-on training, practical exposure, and mentorship to support program implementation while contributing to meaningful systemic change.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Psychology Intern, you will:

1. Participate in Training Programs:

• Undergo training sessions conducted by certified professionals to understand intellectual disabilities such as ADHD, ASD, specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia), and processing disorders.

• Learn to use evidence-based tools and strategies for assessment, intervention, and stakeholder engagement.

2. Support Identification Efforts:

• Work with schools to assist in identifying children with IDs through structured assessments and observation.

• Collaborate with teachers to ensure early identification of learning needs.

3. Develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs):

• Assist in creating tailored IEPs in collaboration with parents and teachers.

• Help align interventions with the child’s unique academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.

4. Facilitate Classroom Interventions:

• Support teachers in implementing differentiated instructional strategies and inclusive teaching practices.

• Provide hands-on assistance during pull-out remedial sessions led by special educators.

5. Conduct Awareness Workshops:

• Organize and participate in workshops aimed at educating parents and teachers about intellectual disabilities.

• Address myths and stigmas to foster understanding and empathy within the community.

6. Monitor and Document Progress:

• Help track the academic, behavioral, and social progress of children using structured evaluation frameworks.

• Contribute to the preparation of detailed reports and success stories for program evaluation and advocacy.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for interns who:

• Are currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology, special education, or a related field.

• Have a strong interest in child psychology, education, or intellectual disabilities.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Are empathetic, patient, and eager to work collaboratively with children, parents, and educators.

• Can commit at least 5–10 hours per week for the program’s duration.

Preferred but Not Required:

• Basic knowledge of intellectual disabilities, inclusive education, or classroom management.

• Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting.
